Home Modification and Ramps

Making homes more accessible.

Helping people with disabilities live at home safely is the foundation of MCIL’s Home Modification and Ramp service. Working with contractors to fund and install wooden and aluminum ramps, grab bars, doors, steps, railings and decks ensure a physically accessible home.

Contact MCIL to learn more about resources that can help. We have contractors available to provide an estimate and have a network of community resources that can build ramps and help defray costs.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Who is eligible for this service?

Any individual that wants to learn about better access options for universal design for themselves or people they know.

How are the modifications paid for?

Some are funded by grants (via the county), waiver funding when applicable, and private payments.
